Good morning all!
Today's update is just a quick one as we're still getting items cast up by Prodos and waiting for the pictures of the rest of the items we've sent to them for 3D Printing.
We've had a good number of messages from backers and those who have pre-ordered that they'd like us to keep the pledge manager open for a few more days until the end of the month.
So this acts as the final roll call for everybody and as a reminder for the few of you who haven't touched the pledge manager yet;
PLEDGE MANAGER AND PRE-ORDERS ENTERS FULL LOCK-OUT ON MONDAY 31st AUGUST 23:59 BST.
Please make sure you have completed the Pledge Manager or Pre-Ordered the items you want by Midnight on Monday (British Summer Time).

An Introduction to the Shattered Void Universe - Progress & More!

This update is going to be something slightly different than the usual progress report. Current Kickstarter Progress can be found at the bottom of this post.
I imagine you've all heard of "Shattered Void" by now (or at least we hope so!) but we haven't actually gone in to a great length or detail as to what it actually 'is'.
As many of you who have followed our Facebook page or spoken to us both in person are aware, the 15mm miniatures we have had designed and that are currently being brought into production are just a miniatures range and not an actual game.
There are two main driving forces behind this project. The first being a general curiosity as to how detailed we could push the boundaries of 15mm miniatures and the second reason is to use this as a test case for our eventual launch of our Space Combat tabletop game. Our aim with this Kickstarter was to get some cool new models in to all your hands as well as giving us the experience and knowledge of running a successful campaign. Understandably we have a small way to go now before it is actually completed (finished castings, fulfilment etc) but we're confident all the creases have been ironed out and everything should be smooth sailing.
Yes, yes... But what is it?
Well, Shattered Void (as for the rest of this post will be referring to the Space Combat Game) is a 3mm-scaled tabletop dog fighting game set in a new universe of our creation that has been in the making for over 3 years now.
We are releasing the first piece of background lore for the Shattered Void universe for your reading pleasure which can be found here;

This is to give you all a first glimpse of what is to come. Obviously your thoughts and comments are more than welcome as well as any speculation in regards to the relationships between the involved parties in this short story. ;)
The first two factions that have been confirmed are Humanity, united under the banner of the "Earth Exploration Fleet" or EEF for short and the high-tech alien Vitruvian Empire. The third faction we can now reveal are a race of robotic constructs, controlled by an unshackled AI - it's origin and purpose, well... that is a story for another day.

Production Time!
The current numbers we need of the items that are in production have been sent to Prodos and are now being cast. This includes all the Marines, Proteus Autocannon, Armadillos, Proteus Chaingun, Proteus Railgun, X4 MBT, XA4 MGS and X4 UCV. The next batch of cast items should be with us in no time at all so we'll let you know when they arrive.
The Fiddler 3D Prints should also be with us fairly soon to show off to you all as well as the Talos are close to being completed with just final details left before being sent to print.

Afternoon from both of us here at WDM!
Okay, so the Pledge Manager has been launched! Within the next 3-7 days you guys will be be getting e-mails from BackerKit with information and the Pledge Manager link so keep checking your e-mails (and your junk folders, just in case!).
We'll also be opening up the Pre-Order system once everybody has their Pledge Manager e-mail. This should allow the Pre-Order system to open up next weekend all being well.
Strix Recon Mechs finished!
The second Strix has now been complete and both have been sent off for 3D Printing. Take a look and let us know what you think! We think they both look fantastic!

As you can see, we are well on track with pretty much everything entering the final stages. We'll continue to finish the things on our end and in the mean-time you guys start hitting that Pledge Manager to tell us what you'd like for your pledged funds!

Update time!
...And what an update it is, so sit down, grab yourself a nice cup of tea (or other tasty beverage) and enjoy!
The Fiddler is ready!
That's right, everybody's favourite Mech is now 15mm ready and off to the print-shop at Prodos for 3D Printing. As you can see below, we've changed the leg setup to allow for multiple poses so the originally planned "Alternative Pose" Fiddler is now "Alternative Weapons". This means the big guy can be posed how-ever you like. Running, standing idle, braced and more! He comes in at an amazing 14-piece kit.
With that - Off to the 3D Printer he goes!

Strix Recon Mech
The first of the 2 planned Strix poses has also been completed. The second pose is also currently under-way and as soon as he is complete both will be sent over to Prodos for printing.
X4 Urban Combat Vehicle Printed
The X4 UCV has been printed and is therefore ready for casting. All we need to do now is get the Main Battle Tank, Multi-Gun System and Air Defence Platform versions of the X4 printed. Expect renders and print photos soon!

The Talos Exo-Suits are also progressing nicely with further work done on the chaps. Final detailing, weapons and poses to follow soon!
Stocking Up!
We have recently received the first casts of the Fireteam Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Armadillo and Autocannon Proteus - 200 of each! These items are some of the basics to cover the standard pledges (in the case of the Infantry and the Armadillo at least) so we've decided to begin 'the great hoard' in preparation for packing and postage of all your soldiers and machines of war.
What's in the box? 200 of every Fireteam, 200 Armadillo's and 200 Autocannon Proteus! Inside is chock-full of bubblewrap, packing peanuts and foam.
Pledge Manager Details
We will be getting the Pledge Manager sent out to you all at the end of the week so you can begin to select what you guys would like for your pledges and more importantly give us your address so we can get these things into your hands and on your battlefields!
There will be the chance for you to add more should you wish it as well as a Pre-Order option for those of you who missed the Kickstarter. Pre-Orders will be dispatched AFTER all of our Kickstarter backers have received their pledges.
Shipping prices have now also been confirmed and will be handled by a local company and friends of ours, Mantic Games. They are no strangers to kickstarters and moving vast quantities of parcels quickly and effectively so we look forward to working with them more in the future!
